Frequently Asked Questions – BK-94-01 Gas & Oxygen Valve
Q1: What is the BK-94-01 valve used for?
A: The BK-94-01 (also referenced as VK-94-01) is a Russian-standard brass cylinder valve designed for controlling the flow of oxygen, natural gas, nitrogen, compressed air, and other non-aggressive industrial gases. It is commonly installed on high-pressure gas cylinders (up to PN20 / 20 MPa / 200 kgf/cm²).
Q2: Does this valve comply with Russian/GOST standards?
A: Yes. Our BK-94-01 valves are manufactured according to Russian industrial standards (GOST 3645 / GOST 15150/ TU 3645-042-05785477-01) and use GOST-standard conical threads to ensure direct fitment with Russian and CIS gas cylinders without modification.
Q3: What material is the valve body made of? Is it safe for oxygen service?
A: The valve body is made of high-quality forged brass (HPb59-1 or equivalent), which is oil-free degreased before leaving the factory and suitable for oxygen service. Important: Oxygen valves must never be greased or oiled during installation to avoid fire/explosion risk.
Q4: What is the working pressure and temperature range?
A: Nominal pressure PN 20 MPa (200 kgf/cm²). Working temperature range: -50°C to +60°C, suitable for harsh climates in Siberia, Kazakhstan, and Central Asia.
Q5: Can the BK-94-01 valve be used for natural gas or propane?
A: It can be used for natural gas and non-flammable/low-reactive gases such as nitrogen and CO₂. For propane/acetylene, we recommend dedicated flammable-gas valves to ensure compliance with local safety regulations.
Q6: What thread/connection type does it have?
A: Inlet connects via GOST standard conical thread to the cylinder; outlet typically has cylindrical thread (W21.8-14 / G5/8 or per customer requirement) for connection to regulators or hoses. Custom thread options are available for bulk orders.
Q7: Do you provide certificates (GOST-R / Customs Union / Quality Inspection)?
A: Yes. We can supply Factory Test Reports, Material Certificates, and Customs Union / EAC Conformity Certificates (upon request) to support customs clearance in Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, etc.
Q8: What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) and lead time?
A: Standard MOQ is 500–1000 pcs for mixed models. Production lead time is usually 15–25 working days after deposit confirmation. Samples are available upon request.
Q9: Do you ship to Russia and Central Asian countries?
A: Yes. We have established logistics channels to Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, etc.), Kazakhstan (Almaty, Astana), Uzbekistan (Tashkent), and other CIS countries via rail, truck, sea+rail, or air freight. Door-to-door service is available for bulk orders.
Q10: Can you supply spare parts or OEM with our brand?
A: Yes. We can supply matching spare parts (handwheel, spindle, packing nut, etc.) and offer OEM laser engraving or private labeling for distributors in Russia and Central Asia.
