FAQ:
1.What gas is this pressure regulator used for?
Answer: This is a pressure regulator specifically designed for argon gas. It cannot be used for other gases such as oxygen, acetylene, or carbon dioxide, as the internal sealing material and structure are designed for the inert properties of argon gas.
2.Can it be directly used on our argon gas cylinder? (Interface issue)
Answer: Yes, but we need to confirm the interface standards. This pressure reducer is usually equipped with GOST standard threaded interface (usually right-hand threaded, with an outer diameter of approximately 21.2mm). If you are using a standard Russian/CIS industrial argon cylinder, you can simply screw it on. If it is a gas cylinder from other countries (such as CGA580 interface), a conversion adapter needs to be purchased.
3.If it’s very cold in winter here, can this device be used?
Answer: The working temperature range of this device is -20 ° C to+40 ° C. If your usage environment is indoors or in a sheltered workshop, there is usually no problem. But if it is used outdoors in extremely cold areas such as northern Kazakhstan (below -20 ° C), it is recommended to install insulation sleeves or consult us for more cold resistant models (such as UHL1 grade).
4.What do the tables on the left and right display respectively?
Answer: The left gauge (high-pressure gauge) displays the remaining pressure inside the gas cylinder. When the pointer approaches zero, it indicates that the argon gas is running out and the cylinder needs to be replaced.
The table on the right (low pressure/flow meter): displays the gas flow rate output to the welding gun (usually in liters/minute L/min). You can set the required flow rate by adjusting the knob according to the welding process requirements.
5.Why don’t I see an outlet pressure gauge?
Answer: This is a “flow regulating pressure reducer”. In TIG welding (TIG/MIG) process, we focus more on the gas flow rate rather than pressure. As long as the flow rate is stable, the weld protection effect is good. This design simplifies the structure, reduces costs, and is very suitable for welding use.
6.Is this device durable? Is it easy to break?
Answer: This device is designed based on the technical standards of the Soviet era (TU 26-05-105-88), characterized by a simple structure and sturdy durability. It does not have complex electronic components and mainly relies on mechanical structures to work, making it very suitable for the relatively extensive industrial environment in Central Asia with a low failure rate.
7. If it breaks, are the accessories easy to buy?
Answer: As this is a classic Russian standard industrial equipment, its internal structure (such as diaphragm, valve core, sealing ring) is very common in CIS countries. You can easily find replacement seals at local hardware stores or industrial accessory markets. We can also provide you with spare parts packages.
We specialize in producing pressure reducers for the national markets of Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, etc.
